There was really nothing very ordinary about my upbringing. My parents were discussing astrological rulerships over breakfast, Alice Bailey over lunch, and Nostradamus over dinner. I didn't mind, in fact, I thought it was fascinating, and I couldn't image growing up anywhere else. For those of you who share my interests and who want to take a deep dive, there is now an MA Western Esotericsm study program, in Amsterdam. Who knew!
It's a very theoretical program, so you don't actually study astrology, the kaballah, or become a student of alchemy. Instead, you learn about the history of all these traditions, which is a good place to start, and an important field of research. If that's your thing, do check it out and best of luck!
